Agentforce Sales Coach is an autonomous AI agent from Salesforce designed to provide personalized, on-demand coaching to sales representatives. It acts as a “virtual mentor” that helps sellers refine their skills and prepare for specific customer interactions without needing a live manager present.

It is one of the core pre-built agents within the Agentforce for Sales suite, alongside the SDR Agent.

The Sales Coach operates directly within Sales Cloud (typically on the Opportunity record) and focuses on three primary areas:

  • Interactive Role-Play: Reps can practice conversations with the AI, which simulates a “buyer” or “customer.” It can be configured to act out specific scenarios like price negotiations, discovery calls, or handling difficult objections.
  • Pitch Practice: Sellers can record or speak their pitch into the system. The AI uses your company’s specific deal data and best practices to analyze the performance.
  • Actionable Feedback: Immediately after a session, the agent provides a critique. It evaluates factors like:
    • Clarity: Did the rep explain the value proposition clearly?
    • Objection Handling: How well did they respond to customer concerns?
    • Completeness: Did they mention key product features or follow the prescribed sales methodology?

  1. Context-Aware (Grounding): Unlike a generic chatbot, it is “grounded” in your CRM data. It knows exactly which stage the deal is in (e.g., Discovery vs. Negotiation) and uses relevant account history to make the coaching specific to that real-world deal.
